  • Check your last 3 months of bank statements—what stands out?

  • Subscription services you forgot about? Eating out too much? Impulse buys?

2. Create a “Pause Rule” for Purchases

  • Ask yourself: Do I need this, or do I just want it?

  • Try waiting 24 hours before buying anything over $50.

3. Set Spending Limits for Non-Essentials

  • Use the 50/30/20 rule (50% needs, 30% wants, 20% savings).

  • If you want to splurge, set a spending cap per month.
